There have been some recent changes to COVID restrictions that affect schools. Masks and other protocols are still in place. Here is a summary.
- School gatherings and events such as assemblies
Staff, students, and necessary volunteers.
No capacity limit.
- Extracurricular and social gatherings such as community fair, music festival, tournaments
School community beyond staff, students, and necessary volunteers.
Multiple school communities.
50 people limit indoors or 50% operating capacity, whichever is greater. - Spectators at events such as tournaments and performances
Within capacity limits.- Visitors / Volunteers
No longer limited to necessary volunteers who directly support student learning and wellbeing.
Still need to check in at the office, clean/sanitize hands, pass health check, wear a mask, and have a reason for the visit (meeting with the teacher, helping in a classroom, etc.).- Exception – parents attending noisy reading in kindergarten classes will come in with the class and be checked in/out with the teacher. Late arrivals must go through the office.
- Visitors / Volunteers
Drop Off/Pick Up will continue to take place outside. Late arrivals must check in at the office. Early dismissals will continue to be done from the office.
Volunteers – must have a completed Criminal Record Check on file with SD 60. Contact the office for more information.
Rapid Tests – follow the directions – use only if you wish to confirm whether or not your child has COVID. Children who are sick need to stay home whether they test positive or not. Thank you for your cooperation.
