The 60 Minute Kids Challenge has begun with Drs visiting and discussing with our Gr.4/5/6s the benefits and the goals of the challenge. This BCMA (British Columbia Medical Association) initiative is to try and encourage students and adults alike to participate in active exercise for at least 1 hour each day. The numbers 5,2,1,0 are important also as they represent 5 servings of fruits and vegetables, no more than 2 hours of screen time, the 1 hour of physical activity and no sugared drinks.
